The important Colorado Railway Museum
The Colorado Railway Museum is located between two mountains in golden, Colorado. It was founded in 1959 and covers an area of 15 acres. It was established to protect the glorious railway history of Colorado, especially the narrow gauge railway in mountain areas.
The museum tells about the long history of Colorado's railway culture and has a collection of commemorative trains. The Colorado Railway Museum is considered to be the most outstanding Railway Museum in Colorado. It has a 914mm wide narrow gauge railway. On a sunny day, visitors can also take the narrow gauge railway to visit and feel the charm of the narrow gauge railway. The museum also collects a standard narrow gauge steam locomotive made in 1890, which is the only one. All the railway equipment in the museum is displayed outdoors, and more than 100 locomotives with historical significance are displayed to tourists.
In addition to the numerous locomotives, the museum has a collection of railway models, rare old photos, works of art and documents. These 125 year old collection details the history of Colorado's railways.
