Located 11 miles south of Aspen, it's one of the few ghost towns that can be visited all year round Ashcroft. But here summer flowers are colourful, and autumn leaves are gorgeous and dancing with the wind. It is the best season for two riding here. Ashcroft once thriving, with 2 newspapers, 20 pubs, schools and many households registered in 1975 was named National Historic District, the Aspen historical society is responsible for the maintenance, still retains the post office, Blue Mirror Saloon and the town jail.
