Dutch villages are situated on Lake Michigan, with a population of more than 30,000. Most of them are Dutch immigrants, and the streets and alleys of the town are named after Dutch provinces. The Dutch village is famous for its tulip flowers. Every spring, late April and early May, an eight-day Tulip Festival is held. It is well known throughout the United States. There is a windmill Island Garden in the northeastern direction of the town. There is a 245-year-old windmill transported from the Netherlands. In front of the windmill, there are several acres of tulip garden for viewing and photographing. It's full of Dutch-style architecture, as if it's in Europe.
