About Kearney County
Kearney County is a county in southern Braska, USA. It covers an area of 1,337 square kilometers.The county seat is Minden.
Kearney County was founded on January 10, 1860 and the county government on June 17, 1872. The county's name comes from Fort Carney in memory of Stephen Watts Kearny, the fourth military chief of the Upper California Territory. The spelling of county names originated from the mistakes made by the US Department of War.
