University of North Carolina School of the Arts
University of North Carolina School of the Arts was founded in 1963, a school of performing arts by the then governor, Terry Sanford, and was the first public art institute. The teaching objective is to tap the potential of students in the chosen field of art, to cultivate students' love of art and to help students become artists in their field. School planning courses transcend traditional art courses, including dance, film and film production, music, drama and visual arts.
